After a 7-year hiatus. CircumVictory (formerly CircumBurke) Challenge—a legendary endurance ride that draws cyclists from across the region to test their legs, lungs, and grit in the stunning wilds of the Northeast Kingdom - is returning!

If you’ve never tackled CircumVictory, this is your year to see what all the buzz (and mud) is about—and there’s no better home base than The Village Inn, located just steps from the Kingdom Trails network and minutes from the starting line.

What Is the CircumBurke Challenge?

Part race, part festival, the CircumVictory Challenge is one of Vermont’s most iconic bike events. Riders loop through a mix of Kingdom Trails singletrack, rugged backcountry roads, and Burke's most demanding terrain—roughly 17 to 34 miles depending on your chosen category.

It’s a day of big climbs, fast descents, and the kind of camaraderie that defines East Burke’s biking community. You’ll share trails, stories, and smiles (plus a little pain) with hundreds of other riders who all come to celebrate the close of another incredible season on the trails.

Why East Burke Is the Perfect Host

The CircumBurke captures everything that makes the Northeast Kingdom special—raw beauty, challenging terrain, and an unshakable sense of community. The event winds through rolling maple forests and mountain ridges bursting with late-season color, giving you a front-row seat to Vermont’s fall magic.

After the ride, head into town to refuel at Hazel’s Taproom, where you can kick back by the firepit with a craft beer and a hearty meal from Tomassoni’s Bistro. Then, let your muscles thank you with a session at the East Burke Sauna Club, a riverside steam sauna tucked along Dish Mill Brook—the ultimate recovery experience.
